Secrets of Sleep

The most neglected Super Power

If you live to be 90 years old, you will have slept for 32 years!

Everyone sleeps.

Yet few understand the real need for sleep. Many have the notion that sleep is a waste of time – We have often heard – “If I didn’t have to sleep so much, I could get so much more done!” This downright dangerous notion is the bane of our civilised society and the cause of innumerable problems.

Sleep is nature’s miraculous remedy for a host of nasty things that could happen to us. Did you know that human beings are the only species on the planet who willingly delay or compromise their sleep?!

The consequences are quite devastating…

In this workshop we explore:

  • Why we need to sleep
  • The hazards of not enough sleep
  • What the benefits of great sleep are
  • How to ensure the sleep you are getting is of the best possible quality.

This workshop is based on sections of our books Happiness Express and Sleep your way to Success. Full of a lot of fun science and practical tips you will become more productive, creative, efficient and healthier than ever before. And possibly younger as well!

A Delightful Romp through Classical Maths

I hate maths.

This is such a familiar refrain. Studying maths, for most people is usually an exercise in frustration, and for some even terror. This is largely because of a huge lack of interest in the subject, compounded by uninspiring teachers and utterly insipid prescribed textbooks that malign this subject.

There is hardly any life without maths. Maths pervades all we do; yet most people are repelled by it. This is sad, because Mathematics is a subject of magic and exquisite beauty. We had had enough of people berating this lovely subject and decided to do something about it.

We put together a workshop that would primarily remove the almost irrational fear that many people have of the subject, as well as effortlessly reveal its intrinsic beauty.

Starting with some frivolous playing around with numbers and multiplication, the workshop quickly moves onto cover some of the basics of real analysis, calculus, number theory and finite mathematics. We focus on fundamental concepts and disclose the elegant logic that hides behind rigorous mathematical proof. A few fascinating stories from the history of maths and mathematicians are woven into the material.

The entire workshop is peppered with healthy doses of humour as well as interactive exercises for the participants so that they can discover the joy of applying logic to solve problems for themselves.

Mathemagic has been designed to be a thoroughly entertaining learning experience; a delightful romp through some of the basics of some fairly advanced maths.

Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at 20 or at 80. The one who keeps learning remains young.

– Henry Ford

Keep a watch out in this space to know when we will launch an online recorded version of these workshops. Meanwhile, if you have a group of 20 or more interested to do any of them, then please get in touch with us.
